a million miles

We have a squirrel (grey) living near us... we have 3 bird feeders hanging from 7 foot posts on the fence.. that little squirrel must make a million miles a day... we laugh at him every morning... i timed him this morning, and it takes him 20 seconds to leave the feeder or the ground, along the fence, off the fence, drops the seed near the pine tree, and then back to the feeder.. he must be taking a nap as i haven't seen him for a bit...i am going to find where he is putting the seeds, i bet we will have a ton of sunflowers out there this next spring..if the llama doesn't eat them off..

We had supper and played cards last nite, i just love not having to cook supper... and of course tons of laughs and giggles..

Larry is off to the massage therapist today... he had to take the Jimmy for a wheel bearing, and wouldn't be finished in time to come back and pick me up... so i cx me and let him go by himself...he has been sleeping better so hope it is working for me...
It is our guild Christmas party next week... have to find a gift for a very special friend... i have to go to Kamloops on Thursday, so i hope i can find something very special for her...decided to make a Spinach salad for our pot luck lunch.. better get my act in gear and get this place cleaned up, my turn to host the card party... decided to have old family recipe ... meat pies... made 12 of them yesterday... had one each for supper last nite... nothing exciting, just hamburger with onion and garlic, and the gravy is made with Bisto gravy mix, put into a pastry crust..top and bottom... my Dad's very favorite... Mom used to make a pile of them for him when she went away... one time, that is all he ate the whole week she was gone...L and i just eat them with out spuds or veggies, but will have to make both for our guests, as the two other guys are very big eaters...and they need their veggies...

I know, i know

I know that it has been 18 days since i last posted... sure don't know where the time has gone... my excuse is that i was cleaning up my desk and had so much junk on it, i couldn't find the key board...good excuse, yes. Not too sure where to start... I did go down to the boob surgeon two weeks ago, and every thing is just fine... i did ask her how much she removed... 3 pounds... she also showed me the picture she took the first time i was there... what a difference... I have started agility again, and there is no pain.. although i did wear a ordinary bra yesterday, and i was very uncomfortable last night, i feel much better with a sports bra... i have one that i wear at home, and one that i wear when i do agility..(more support)...i did find the ordinary bra very uncomfortable during the day too...i was always pulling at it... and with the sports bra, i hardly know i have it on...had a quick visit with my Mom... did a bit of shopping, haven't bought a lot for Christmas yet, i am trying to cut back this year...Larry has been doing a lot of scroll saw work, he is making loads of Christmas decorations, I need to buy a new tree this year, am thinking of a small one, and decorating it with some really cute little doves that he has made, nothing else just the doves and lights...We have learned a new card game... a variation of Contract rummy... this one u pick a stick with the contract written on it... like 'a run of spades, and a set of diamonds', we have a lot of fun playing it... we laugh at the guys as they can't remember what a run is or a set... we didn't play this weekend as Clara was away and i was at the agility trial in Kamloops... we did okay, but didn't qualify in anything... for some reason Jesse would just stop jumping and just look at me... and you have to beat a set time, and that is our biggest problem... i might start specializing her, that way she doesn't jump as high.. instead of 10 inches she will jump 6 inches and have more time...will have to think about it...it was not too cold, although i did wear long johns and lined pants... by about 2 o'clock i was getting chilled... made myself a hot apple cider, and that sure helped... my agility buddy and i went over the night before, had supper at Tony Roma's, and then went to the movies, it has been years since i was at the movies, we saw the "the changeling"... sure makes one think... it was about cops in Los Angles in 1928 who won't believe Anglea Jolie that the kid that they found wasn't her son, they locked her up in an asylum, because she was fighting them... it was based on a true story... scarey...
And then Denise started getting a cold... so as soon as i got home I started taking 'cold Fx', it worked last time Larry got a cold and i didn't want one just before the retreat.. hopefully it will work again..
the weather sure has been good for November... we even had a flock of robins in the yard last week.. and we still have a black bird hanging around..but the winter birds are sure going thru the seed... i always wait a couple of days before i fill up the feeders... that way they clean up what is on the ground... have to find a cheaper place to buy bird seed... i hate the ones that are full of millet... not one of the wild birds like it... i also put out the left overs from Yankee's seed... stuff that he doesn't eat... Yankee learned a new phrase last week... one of the friends we play cards with is the manager of the local credit union..and Larry taught Yankee to say her name, he now says "clara is a hottie" she hasn't heard him yet and i can hardly wait for her to hear him...
Larry and i went for a massage last week... his restless legs are really bothering him, and my hips are bothering me, so we decided to go for a massage...with a man and woman, who either massage you at the same, or you and a spouse or friend can have a massage at the same time in the same room..Larry really enjoyed it, so we are going again on Thursday..
Guild meeting tomorrow, i missed the last meeting as i was at the coast for my Dr appt...i hate missing the meetings..i am spinning some alpaca/merino, in a lovely dark grey..for a shawl for a friend who really loved the colour..i am knitting on Marie's shawl for her 60th birthday in April, and then have a few more to finish for 60th birthdays, my long time VET, who will not admit that she is turning 60 in August, and my agility instructor who won't be 60 till Dec next year... so i have lots of time,. Okay dear friends... will keep up my blog better... talk to ya soon.... Sheila
